TEENS, Inc. youth employment programs focus on building professional and social skills that youth can apply in their chosen career path.  All youth employees are required to participate in the Roundtable Leadership Program and working towards their educational goals.  TEENS, Inc. typically hires over 40 youth per year in the following programs.

Mountain Youth Corps

Mountain Youth Corps (MYC):  Mountain Youth Corps hires youth ages 13 to 20 years old to work on private and public land doing beautification projects, yard clean up, noxious weed removal or whatever may be needed.  In partnership with the U.S. Forest Service, youth have mapped 751 acres and removed over 435 acres of noxious weeds.  In 2006, this unique partnership was awarded the environmental NOVA Award through the Boulder Community Foundation.  Youth increase their work ethic, develop technical skills and teamwork and learn about local environmental issues.

VIEW

VIEW:  Voices in an Expressive World hires 4 to 6 youth during the after school hours to research and explore topics relevant to teens and present their findings to the community through various art mediums. Previous topics include teen sex, happiness, self harm, friendships and addictions.

Peer Supervisors 

Peer Supervisors:  Peer Supervisors help govern and supervise the activities of the Teen Center. This governing role offers youth an opportunity to develop and implement Teen Center activities and policies, learn computer and marketing skills, develop leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, plan and implement activities that target middle and high school aged youth.

Summer Camp Counselors 

Summer Camp Counselors:  Youth are hired to assist in the coordination and implementation of a summer camp for 5 to 11 year olds.  Youth learn communication, conflict resolution and leadership skills while overseeing campers with guidance from a senior counselor.
